This Opportunity
WSP is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our Roseville, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a background in AutoCAD Civil 3D creating drawing sets including civil grading. The candidate should have good communication skills and the ability to work with a multi-discipline group of experienced professionals. The candidate will be responsible for drafting primarily civil designs with an emphasis on earthworks and drainage conveyance structures.
Your Impact
- Draft civil grading plans with direction from engineering and design staff
- Follow company and department design standards
- Communicate clearly in verbally and in writing to develop internal network of professionals
- Solve problems of a routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures
- Work under moderate supervision, under general work instructions and standardized routines
- Put forward ideas on how work assignments can be executed
- Perform 2D and 3D drafting to develop working and final drawings
- Provide drafting guidance to less experienced staff
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of drafting experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proven experience in plan production and design for civil projects
- Ability to be flexible in daily duties and level of responsibility encompassing redlining as well as leading plan production efforts
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Collaborate well within a multi-discipline design team to produce construction drawings efficiently
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office products
