Title: 105F-YN_CS_NPS - Administrative Assistant 2 Business Title: Administrative Assistant Additional Titles: Location: Employee Type: Classified Job Family: Civil Service and Non-Permanent - OT Eligible Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Administrative Assistant supports the work of IREACH’s Business Office Manager and provides administrative assistance to the Co-Directors. Under the supervision of the Business Office Manager, the position performs administrative projects; coordinates regular communication between IREACH, other WSU units, as well as community partners; participates in purchase reconciliation; and assists in supporting the IREACH office needs. This position is responsible for the maintenance and prioritization of Co-Directors schedules, coordinates incoming and outgoing communications of the Co-Directors, and handles information that requires confidentiality and the exercise of discretion. Essential Duties: Administrative Support - 50% Budget/Fiscal Activities - 25% Office Management - 20% Other - 5% Required Qualifications: One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher. Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. Additional Requirements: Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Demonstrated ability with strong written/oral communication and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects. Demonstrated effective leadership skills. Willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary. A valid driver’s license, or evidence of equivalent mobility, required at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education. Experience in research programs. Demonstrated effective leadership skills. Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities with varying deadlines.
