Title: 107M-YN_CS_NPS - Program Assistant Business Title: Advancement Records, Program Assistant Additional Titles: Location: TOWN CENTRE LEASE Employee Type: Classified Job Family: Civil Service and Non-Permanent - OT Eligible Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Advancement Records, Program Assistant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of biographical and other non-gift related information in databases for the WSU Foundation. The accuracy and completeness of information including, but not limited to, name, address, employment, activity and committee involvement, other affiliations, and prospect and volunteer tracking, maintained on a database of approximately 663,000 WSU alumni, donors, faculty/staff, friends, and students, and corporations and foundations, with an annual growth of approximately 17,000 records per year. This information is of vital importance to the university’s fund/friend raising goals and is used extensively by WSU Foundation advancement professionals and staff, college and department personnel, and student organization members, as well as external constituents of WSU. Essential Job Functions: 70% Database Records Maintenance and Research 15% Administration 10% Mailing List Requests 5% Other Duties as Assigned Required Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience. Program specialty: Complex data entry; database maintenance; database record keeping internet research and/or complex reporting. Strong computer skills; including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook, OneNote). Demonstrated experience and responsibilities with multitasking, project management, and ability to meet timelines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SharePoint technologies. Experience with web based research tools. Experience with Ellucian Advance, Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising or donor database management software. Demonstrated experience with data validation and data hygiene techniques.
