Summary of Duties: This position performs skilled maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation of university facilities and systems, grounds, and equipment. Performs preventive, reactive, and planned maintenance on building interiors and exteriors. Works independently using general knowledge in several related skill fields including plumbing, electrical, carpentry including roofing, locks/keys, and the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of interior and exterior signs; welding and machinist; floor laying including applying a variety of coverings to floors and other surfaces; and painting of exterior and interior surfaces. Required Qualifications: High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience. Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: Asbestos Supervisor or Worker Certification Knowledge of the WSU Pullman Campus, facilities and infrastructural.
