Quality Inspector

Jet Machine builds armored kits for JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicles). These kits provide the vehicles to be more robust and better equipped to handle modern threats, including improvised explosive devices (IED's) and provides enhanced survivability, mobility and versatility for military operations. Jet Machine also provides specialty metals to customers in the Defense, Aerospace and Oil & Gas Industries.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Inspector works within the Inspection Department to primarily assure machined and welded parts meet customer specifications. Faro Arm experience is preferred.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Reading and understanding customer and internal drawings to determine material and production requirements
• Complying with Jet Machine policies and procedures
• Ensuring that product meets specified requirements, including raw material, work in process and finished product
• Use of inspection equipment (ex. Calipers and micrometers) to measure manufactured parts
• Previous experience with CMM - Faro Arm is preferred
• Documenting inspection results using Jet and/or customer inspection report forms
• Creating Jet inspection reports and balloon drawings
• Maintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipment
• Other tasks as assigned

JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• High School education or equivalent
• Basic math skills and basic blue print reading
• Knowledge of the use of inspection equipment including standard inspection hand tools, Faro Arm and CMM
• Attention to detailed inspection requirements
• Ability to create accurate paperwork, legibly and timely
• Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) preferred
• General personal computer usage including Microsoft Office
• Must be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
