Lumber yard staff members work directly with our customers to find the right products in the yard. We also gather delivery materials for the delivery drivers. We work to maintain a clean and safe environment for our vendors, customers and coworkers. We unload inbound materials and round up outgoing loads. As part of a relationship driven company, we know that our work environment, attention to detail and level of service matters to those around us. We treat our work with a lot of pride and personal ownership.

Job Description:

  • Work directly with retail and contractor customers
  • Work with inbound and outbound delivery drivers in the lumber yard
  • Handle a wide variety of materials and products
  • Safely lift and move items up to 80 lbs
  • Load, unload, organize and clean up racking and storage facilities
  • Read load tickets and verify correct materials for customers
  • Gather and bundle delivery materials to help outbound drivers
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Building Materials: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Forklift Operators Certification (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
