What are the responsibilities and job description for the F&B Service Manager position at Wychmere Beach Club?
Wychmere Beach Club is looking for a seasonal F&B Service Manager to join our talented team. The F&B Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at our private Beach Club. The F&B Service Manager’s primary focus is on the service side of the department, training, standards and ongoing coaching of service staff. They will be involved in the Club’s beverage program as well as overseeing all Beach Club bars. They are responsible for all Beach Club dining outlets/areas and will maintain consistent involvement in these F&B areas while always keeping with the standards prescribed by management. The position is primarily concerned with front of house activities. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with completion of weekly schedules if needed. Schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service.
- Supervise and co-ordinate daily operation of F&B.
- Attend daily pre-meal and make sure service staff is trained in new menus.
- Following of proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures.
- Assist with staff onboarding and training.
- Supervision of weekly payroll input.
- Supervision of daily servers/bartenders tips to be entered into the system
- Ensuring that services meets members’ specifications.
- Liaise on an on-going basis with the Director of Restaurants to ensure all client needs and requirements will be met.
- Work with the Chef to ensure all arrangements and details are executed.
- Greet the member/guest upon arrival.
- Address customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Hold staff accountable to Club’s standards of appearance.
- Inspection of the F&B service areas (Restaurants, Bars, Beach, and Pool areas) prior to member/ guest arrival ensuring that the areas are clean, organized and set for success.
- Takes responsibility to check service team’s charges
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Ensures that all side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
