Job Posting for Controls Technician at X-fab Texas Inc
Function/Duties:
Install, maintain and repair electrical control systems for the facilities organization. Interface with multiple disciplines to accomplish defined tasks.
Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain existing control systems:
Allen Bradley PLC systems
Honeywell Building System, TEMA Servers
GE PLC systems
Square D plc systems
Scada System Design and Development
Interface and work with Engineering, Safety, and maintenance staff on controls problems
Learn area critical control systems
Assist requested maintenance and equipment maintenance as needed
Current Skills/Competencies:
Knowledge of basic control diagrams
Knowledge of control devices and instrumentation:
Sensors
Transducers
Field Wiring
Knowledge and experience on the design, programming and installation of PLCs
Knowledge and experience on the design, programming and installation of VFDs
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be a proven team player and self-starter
Good problem solving and decision making skills
Education/Skills Background: A.S. Degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or Licensed Electrician with similar controls experience.
