POSITION OVERVIEW
Xator is looking for a SIGINT Collection Systems Engineer to join our team. The candidate will support our customer’s terrestrial collection systems deployment planning and modernization efforts at their Fort Meade Maryland facility. The Systems Engineer, will support technical processes (stakeholder requirements analysis, implementation processes integration processes, etc.) and will support project engineering processes (planning, assessment and control, decision management, risk management etc.) related to SIGINT collection systems capabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Assist mission partners in the development of CONOPs, Project Plans, GANTT charts, and other SE documents,
- Draft Staff Processing Forms to support project coordination activities,
- Champion various assigned projects at cross-enterprise forums,
- Track partner interactions and action items,
- Facilitate meetings/boards (Configuration Change Management, Executive Requirements Review etc).
- Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of multiple work products associated with the technical and project systems engineering process areas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related
Experience Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or Doctorate (PhD) in approved field AND 8 years of system engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in approved field AND 10 years of systems engineering experience
- Associate’s degree in approved field or HS/GED AND 14 years of systems engineering experience.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
- Proficiency in data flow diagrams, and DMR processes a strong plus.
- Should be experienced with Atlassian tools suite, especially Jira and Confluence.
- The candidate should have some familiarity with SIGINT systems.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
- Prior System Engineer experience
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and technique appropriate to the audience
- Extensive analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organization skills
- Ability to get consensus and collaboration across multiple unites
- Ability to participate productively as a contributing member in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
