Job Title - Business Tech Solutions Analyst
Location - Piscataway, NJ [Hybrid]
Duration - 12 Months
Job Summary:
The Business Technology Solutions Analyst is a key facilitator that works closely with business program and product managers, and IT teams to deliver technology solutions that add business value. As an integral team member of the IT BRM and PMO team, the Business Technology Solutions Analyst leads both the effort of defining software requirements and ensuring those requirements are accurately developed. This role acts as the bridge between project stakeholders and IT teams, is accountable for both the business requirements and functional specifications and is responsible for driving necessary business communication.
The incumbent is also responsible for forging strong relationships with business relationship managers and ensuring alignment with the team of IT solutions, our infrastructure, and processes with industry best practices and the practices of the Organizations IT. Critical to the success in this role, is the ability to understand and articulate user needs and to develop business requirements for the development.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Business, Information Systems, Computer Science discipline
Master's or other advanced degree (Preferred)
Licenses:
PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
PMI Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP
Primary Experience:
4-7 years - Related experience that includes increasing levels of responsibility in gathering and defining requirements, analyzing/mapping business processes, supporting the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions, services, products, and applications (Required)
2-4 years - Experience leading IT/software project teams from business and functional requirements through service operations
2-4 years - Experience required in participating in or managing projects in an environment with quality management systems e.g. ITIL, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma etc.
Skills and Requirements (Custom):
- Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture and distributed systems
- Capability to motivate others within a non-direct reporting structure to execute change
- Strong analytical skills and proven track record of utilizing team based approach to quickly and accurately resolve system/solution issues.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the delivery of technology solutions that add business value (50%
• Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to determine business, functional and technology requirements that support organizational business goals, documenting those requirements, and working with Product Owners, Developers, Project Managers, and QA Analysts to deliver business technology solutions
• Analysis and recommendation of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality of process, increase productivity, availability and performance to aide in long term strategic and operational goals.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Stakeholders and Delivery Team(s) to gather functional and non-functional requirements. • Facilitate sessions with all relevant stakeholders to drive clarity and agreement on requirements
• Incorporation of architecture and security requirements
• Documentation of requirements, test case oversight and change management procedures from a business owner perspective for existing mission critical systems & applications ensuring change meets (or exceeds) business objectives.
• Oversight of the design of applications and the mapping of functional business requirements into technical requirements/agile stories.
• Transition of services and oversight of application migration when appropriate, including documentation, communication, and approvals with all relevant Units and business owners
• Responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of assigned projects.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver and maintain best-in-class solutions.
• Partner across the company to translate business needs into solutions that interoperate, create efficiencies, provide the highest level of customer experience and drive improved utilization of self-service/automation by internal and/or external users.
• Service Strategy (30%)
• In partnership with IT and business stakeholders, evaluate alternative solutions to meet business requirements utilizing proven tools/methodologies to facilitate build/buy decisions
• Work with Business Owners & IT product and portfolio management on feasibility, cost and requirements for new tools, services and products
• Develops and describes a sufficient understanding of both, the business processes/objectives/outcomes and technology solutions and uses that knowledge to propose and guide business improvements.
• Collaborate and continuously develop strong and productive working relationships with members of the company's Business Unit(s) and Organizations-IT Teams.
• Provides consultation for business projects that often integrate new technology and/or carry out organization-wide operational and technology functions.
• Service Operations and Continual Improvement (20%)
• Independent and team based research to resolve complex problems (business and technical).
• Assists with the formulation, analysis and review of business case documents, project plans and schedules to ensure it is accurate and valid to required business needs
• Reviews, updates and develops documentation including but not limited to: requirements, process workflows, wireframes, screen element specifications, user stories, use cases, data mapping/validations, business rules, scripts, and procedures for future reference or use.
• Responsible for the consistency, clarity, and quality in all documentation and other artifacts by reviewing, validating, editing, rewriting, and authoring as necessary.
• Responsible for sharing knowledge across organizational boundaries to ensure the highest level of service.
• Acts as liaison between business and IT for assigned projects. Ensure users and customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely response and communications.
