About the role
As the Principal Engineer, you'll help engineering teams to deliver better software to Xero's customers faster. You'll regard engineering teams as your customers, and test, measure and learn how best to provide them value.
You'll set the standard for engineering and operational excellence at Xero and educate teams in what those standards are, how to recognize them and how to reach them along with explaining and promoting world-class engineering at Xero.

We are committed to transparency and to equal pay for equal work. Total compensation for this role includes a base salary of $165,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience, plus an annual grant of Xero shares, calculated as a percentage of base salary.
In addition to base salary and long-term incentive, this position also has variable compensation/commission.
