Job Description
Tax Analyst, Corporate Tax with the skills and desire to work in a fast-paced Fortune 200 publicly-traded company. As a member of an experienced quality tax team, this position will have the ability to experience a broad variety of complex tax issues and transactions. A successful candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, and organizaitonal skills in order to manage responsibilities and projects while working with the tax team to maintain an exciting, collaborative environment in which to work!
Representative Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the U.S. Tax provision process:
- Complete account analysis and reconciliations
- Complete Business Tax Accrual calculation
- Complete Legal and Consulting Fee accrual calculation
- Complete and Upload Income Tax Journal Entries
- Liasion with EY on the State Income Tax Provision model
- Assist in State and Local Income Tax Compliance:
- Coordinate with EY/Tax Admin for city return processing
- Coordinate with EY on all state and local income tax return filings
- Mail processing (Notices/Checks/general correspondence):
- Maintain tracker for all scanned mail processed by our tax admin
- Share tracker with EY and schedule bi-weekly meetings to track progress on all items
- Work with Xerox personnel to determine if we need EY support and capture on tracker
- Prepare/process POA (Power of Attorney) forms to enable EY to contact applicable authorities as needed
- Sarbanes Oxley Income Tax Controls (mostly 2 quarters a years):
- Maintain income tax control documentation
- Accumulate control evidence and confirm controls were executed based on documented control steps
- Coordinate with control tester where evidence is saved and confirm tester has completed the control tests
- Annual Report filings:
- Liasion with CSC on filing annual reports
- Review and approve CSC invoices
- Manage Income Tax Payments:
- U.S. income tax payments (federal, state and local)
- Canadian income and indirect tax payments and liasion with local accounting to record payments
- Liasion with EY to maintain the cash income tax plan and outlooks

- Excel skills – need to be very knowledgeable with Excel including pivot table functionality, lookup functions and linking to internal/external worksheets.
- Internal hire – knowledge of ECS/ESS/Oracle/SmartView Etc.
- Possess BS/BA degree in accounting or comparable work experience. Masters in Taxation and/or MBA a plus. CPA a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $105,300.00 - $140,400.00 per year
