Responsibilities for this position include the following:

Act as a financial partner to the project team, providing financial analysis and commentary
Continually look for opportunities to improve the project accounting processes
Act as a gatekeeper for the company in safeguarding the company’s assets and ensure compliance with corporate financial and risk processes
Setup and maintain job budgets for costs and billings
Review and analyze job costs reports with project managers
Assist with cash flow projections and trending
Have a thorough understanding of job specific financial results, including job profit, under/over billings
Review monthly owner billings and in some cases prepare
Effectively communicate with Project Managers and Subcontractors
Manage final job close outs
Responsible for following up on past due accounts receivable with project teams
Responsible for any job specific audits and/or client year-end confirmations
Prepare and review job financial packages with Project Managers
Provide full support to our project teams
Willingness to take on special projects involving systems or special reporting

Requirements for this position include the following:

5+ years of construction accounting experience
College degree preferred or commensurate industry experience
Viewpoint and Construction experience an asset
Able to build relationships with both internal staff and external clients/subcontractors
Ability to read contracts to ensure compliance with owner billing requirements and controls
Self-starter with attention to detail and a proactive approach
Knowledge of subcontract billing and insurance requirements
Positive outlook and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-oriented environment
