What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Cast Quoting Analyst position at Xometry Inc.?

The Die Cast Quoting Analyst will be responsible for working with existing and potential customers and will assist Applications Engineering and Sales efforts across an array of industries including aerospace, defense, commercial, automotive, industrial, and medical devices. The Die Cast Quoting Analyst helps define and package custom requests for sales to deliver.
Primary responsibilities will include.
· Retrieve Quote Request information from both Automated and Manual channels
· Organize information for engineering review
o RFQ document
o CAD file review (functional)
o DWG file review
· Engage with Customer/RFQ source for document clarification and correction
· Complete online and offline templates with available information
· Produce DRAFT quotes per approved methodology within Xometry’s quote platform
· Present / Submit quotes for customer submission
· Maintain quote databases in a real time basis
· Reviewing and setting up custom quotes using Xometry's interface
· Reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings for the purposes of quoting and design-for-manufacturing feedback
· Basic file fixing using programs such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Magics
· Review Salesforce and Emails for service requests
· Answer requests whenever possible
· Direct requests to subject matter experts as required
Qualification:
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the manufacturing engineering field, with at least 5 years of die casting experience
· Formal Die Cast training would be an asset desired
· Experience with quoting and costing for at least 2 years
· Associate degree or higher or equivalent experience, preferably in a technology field
· Interest in all things technical, including use of technical tools such as Solidworks, Inventor, Magics, and reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings
· Technical aptitude to pick up general technical aspects of various technologies
· Customer service oriented
· High energy and comfortable interfacing with customers and coworkers
· Communicates effectively in a polite and enthusiastic manner
· Vocational or Die Cast training/experience is desired
· Knowledge of metal and plastic extrusions would be an asset
