What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Product Manager, Staff Experience position at Xometry Inc.?

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

When customers upload their CAD designs and buy custom-manufactured parts on Xometry.com, there is often manual staff work behind-the-scenes: verifying the manufacturability of the parts, matching the part to the right manufacturing partners, verifying the quality of the part, following up on issues/questions, etc. To accomplish this we use several tools: Salesforce, Asana, and our custom ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. We call this the ‘Staff Experience’, and doing it efficiently with high quality is very important to Xometry as we scale rapidly, given its critical impact on our customers and partners.

We need someone who will turn the overall staff experience (tools and processes) into a “product”. Starting by developing a deep understanding of how work happens today, and then finding ways to improve those workflows, with the ultimate goal of improving the Xometry buyer / customer experience. This person will partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Customer & Partner Support, Case Management and other teams to positively impact the end-to-end customer and partner journeys.

We need a product manager with deep experience in service design or systems thinking, with experience improving workflows across people, process and technology. The ideal candidate will have a background in B2B/marketplace environments where customers receive physical products, and supporting both internal and external customers.
