Social Media Specialist

We are seeking a creative visual media artist dedicated to making a positive impact through storytelling. The Social Media Specialist assists our Creative Team with the ideation, production, editing, and scheduling of content for XP Synergy Companies, various partners, and external clients. Executing visually stunning marketing campaigns, resulting in boosting social media engagement and improving audience engagement. This role is responsible for creating and assisting with organic content for the brands and sub-brands for our corporation, with offices in Nevada, Texas, and Louisiana. As you can’t be everywhere at once, you’ll also be responsible for engaging team members and local contractors to extend your reach.

You’ll work closely with our internal teams, taking projects from conception to completion, ranging from static imagery to video reels. This is a jack-of-all- trades role, with an emphasis on quick editing turnarounds to support the publishing of social media content. Having the ability to produce promotional videos, sizzle reels and long format videos is a plus. Equally important is tracking performance, including paid social media activations, developing optimizations recommendations based on actionable insights, in effort to display our efficacy and success to clients. This is an in-office position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, videography, art, design, or a related discipline
  • Must have 3 or more years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must include a link to your portfolio, demo reel or past works
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and One Drive (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Must be available from 9am to 5:30pm, working a minimum of 40-hours per week
  • This is an in-office position
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Background check required
  • Must have reliable transportation to office with other work-related travel

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formalizing social media strategy scope of work documents detailing deliverables
  • Maintain paid social media best practices and best-in-class content examples
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create video content to post across all social media platforms
  • Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and operational.
  • Proficiency with camera, audio and lighting equipment.
  • Edit footage in post-production. Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms: Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), Google My Business, Twitter (X), TikTok, Linked In, etc.
  • Collaborate with clients to maintain their social media calendar
  • Curate and manage social media content for our clients
  • Upload content to internal review platform for admin and client approval
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, photo, and other graphic design content
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries and comments
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
  • Participate or conduct social media photo and video shoots
  • Direct other camera operators so that necessary footage is acquired.
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve project roadblocks or delays to move projects forward
  • Review projects for accuracy and alignment with project objectives
  • Ensure work meets clients’ objectives
  • Monitor client close lists (to do lists) and coordinate the timely release of media assets
  • Workamajig project tools (conversations, deliverables) are utilized for routing and change management with appropriate team members for efficient workflow within skillsets
  • Attend kickoff, internal reviews and client status meetings as necessary to ensure the Workamajig project management tool is updated with staff assignments, project status, schedule updates and time entry
  • Specifications/templates/requirements are obtained as needed
  • Creative assets are saved and organized according to established agency best practices on server
  • Creative assets are not released to media publishers, vendors, or clients without proper licensing

Physical and Mental

  • Regularly required to sit, prolonged standing, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, and other office equipment.
  • Work in an office environment engaging with multiple personality types in conjunction with cultural differences and learning styles.
  • Lifting less than 15lbs or less regularly
  • Work with a variety of populations, including at-risk youth and adults, and individuals with disabilities.
