- This position will service schools in the St. Tammany and St. James parishes. Travel will be required between both areas regularly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education, social work, psychology, rehabilitation services, business administration or related disciplines.
- Four years of direct supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in principles and practices related to youth development, work readiness, educational issues, community services, or adult workforce development.
- Experienced in developing and managing budgets, hiring, and training, supervising and assessing personnel.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows based computer application and database management.
- Experience in curriculum planning and implementation.
- $56,000/year

- Provide support, guidance, and coordinates Opportunity Now Youth Services? location(s) of professional and sub-professional team members engaged in specialized programs related to Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS).
- Develops, leads, and manages team members: including but not limited to; Program Assistants, Youth Development Instructors, Job Coaches, and Community Resource Specialist by articulating performance expectations, enforcing core competencies, displaying model behavior, maintaining effective communication through open lines of communication and being clear about professional accountability, roles, and relationships.
- Provide support, maintain and oversee staffing duties, dealing with staff scheduling, on-the-job training performance management, and assist with administering disciplinary procedures in accordance with Human Resources policies.
- Plans and develops short and long-term plans for programs, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate progress of programs to meet desired outcomes.
- Assess and perform formal classroom observations of Youth Development Instructors in accordance with company rules and regulations.
- Author or co-author statistical progress reports, marketing presentations, and informational presentations for leadership and in-service training.
- Support, develops and facilitates community outreach engagements according to program objectives for XP?s consumers, customers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Organize and establish meetings on a regular basis with designated individuals to foster positive relationships.
- Coordinate with Human Resources ? Training TDI to organize professional development training seminars and workshops to address staff needs and identify relevant training to enhance and maintain mandatory educational requirements are met.
- Assist with the development of public relations and communications strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness.
- Screen and match Opportunity Now participants with employment or internship opportunities based on their skills, work experience, hobbies and interests.
- Maintain relationships with existing employers and establish relationships with new employers who are willing to hire Opportunity Now participants.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
