Marketing Coordinator

**This position will work from the office in Monroe, LA for 3 weeks/month, and from the office in Metairie, LA 1 week/month**

You will be responsible for coordinating graphic designers, copywriters, other artists, and specialists. The position also involves overseeing budgets to make sure campaigns are profitable, consistent and exceed client expectations. Duties include developing ideas on strategic marketing, working with division leads to create a shared vision, and leading a design team to complete projects.

You must have an expert background in design and be expected to fulfill design-related duties in addition to coordination duties. The position also involves pitching ideas to companies or offering them creative services, so public speaking skills are beneficial. You will be responsible for overseeing many projects using our Project Management System (Workamajig). So, having the ability to multitask, adhere to deadlines, and work well on a team are essential. The job is generally carried out in an office environment, though some travel may be necessary. This is not a work from home position. The Marketing Coordinator works independently and collaboratively with our team to develop and execute results that meet and exceed expectations while being sensitive to our clients’ vision, mission, brand, and strategies. Although your primary focus may be on internal clients, you will be requested to work with team members and provide assistance with projects involving external clients, as needed. This is an in-office position.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, art, design, or a related discipline
  • Must have 1 or more years of experience in communications, marketing, art, design, or related area.
  • Must have exceptional marketing and customer service experience
  • Must include a link to your portfolio, demo reel or past works
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Lightroom)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and One Drive (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Must be available from 9am to 5:30pm, working a minimum of 40-hours per week
  • This is an in-office position
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Background check required
  • Must have reliable transportation to office with other work-related travel
Pay and Perks
  • $46,000 - $49,000/year – based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor project agency hours, outside resources and vendor costs against the approved budget
  • Create accurate project schedules, with team allocations that align with project budget
  • Work with all department leads to develop schedules for integrated projects that sync or overlap accordingly
  • Monitor utilization rates of creative and staff with collective project managers to optimize productivity and efficiency of resources
  • Identify and clearly communicate project resource risks to digital/creative division heads in a timely manner
  • Assist digital/creative department heads with outside resource management, including providing the needed graphic standards, creative briefs, and project requirements
  • Manage expectations collaboratively with digital, creative, media, account services and production
  • Establish regular communications with contractors and provide clear and consistent written direction to ensure projects are completed in a timely and consistent manner
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve project roadblocks or delays to move projects forward
  • Review projects for accuracy and alignment with project objectives, brand standards, and timelines
  • Ensure work meets clients’ objectives
  • Release assets to production vendors and clients
  • Ensure process is strictly followed
  • Estimates and incremental estimates are approved prior to work commencing
Workamajig project tools (conversations, deliverables) are utilized for routing and change management with appropriate team members for efficient workflow within skillsets
  • Attend kickoff, internal reviews, and client status meetings as necessary to ensure the Workamajig project management tool is updated with staff assignments, project status, schedule updates and time entry
  • Specifications/templates/requirements are obtained as needed
  • Creative assets are saved and organized according to established agency best practices on server
  • Creative assets are not released to media publishers, vendors, or clients without proper licensing
Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledge of current web trends and technologies
  • Knowledge of timelines and resources necessary for creative projects which include print collateral, banners, ads, landing pages, emails, e-newsletters, and other commercial designs
  • Enthusiasm and passion for creative projects
  • Soft skills such as problem solving, negotiating, teamwork, organization, multi-tasking and collaboration
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
  • Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality
  • Great interpersonal skills and a do-whatever-it-takes, positive attitude and general spirit of teamwork
Physical and Mental
  • Regularly required to sit, prolonged standing, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, and other office equipment.
  • Work in an office environment engaging with multiple personality types in conjunction with cultural differences and learning styles.
  • Lifting less than 15lbs or less regularly
  • Work with a variety of populations, including at-risk youth and adults, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Travel required 25% of the time (1 week/month)
