Job Description
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance & forward thought to the Global Risk & ACH Recoveries team.
- Assists in review of analysis of fraud trends across several product vertical lines.
- Maintains and Enhances KPI data for reporting of team productivity and evaluation of loss trends to report to leadership.
- Provide guidance on transaction monitoring tools and development of rule sets for fraud monitoring.
- Provide guidance on recovery processes and factors that for third party outsourcing.
- Evaluate applicant business models to identify risks and accurately assess exposure and evaluation thresholds.
- Identify vendors and solutions that can be leveraged to enhance monitoring processes and data analysis across multiple product lines and Global markets.
- Work with product team as SME on department projects.
- Work with Credit operation teams on fraud loss trends identified related to boarding activity.
- Conduct, obtain and report month over month forecasting for Fee and Chargeback related loss.
- Maintain department reporting analysis, periodic reviews, systems, and records as required to evaluate and update merchant profiles, merchant level risk rule settings, and other risk related activities.
- Build out of Reserve calculations in managing different products such as Direct Debit
- Interface with Credit Operations and Compliance personnel on merchant issues and risk mitigation as appropriate.
- Interact with Data engineers to identify applicable risk controls needed to be put in place to reduce fraud attempts.
- Develop policy and procedures that offer guidance around Risk activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; equivalent range of industry specific experience/certification would be considered.
- 5 years of operational risk experience in payment industry preferred.
- Previous Risk/Fraud monitoring experience required.
- 3 years of Leadership and People management experience, in both on-site and remote capacity.
- Advanced technical experience in evaluating & mapping out processing flows.
- Familiar with Operational Risk function and ability to apply fundamental process across several Global product & markets.
- Interpretation of financial statements, a plus.
- Experience in developing & implementing policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities and workflow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Acute attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically or through other means to individuals and groups
- Advanced experience with Office & BI products required 9Excel, Power BI, Tableau, iZenda, etc.)
