Accounts Receivable Clerk

The Accounts Receivable Clerk (AR) performs non-routine, moderately complex accounting functions following appropriate procedures for timely and accurate preparation.  Analyzes and processes transactions in all accounting areas.  Reviews accounting records to reconcile and determine disposition of discrepancies, ensuring timely payment while maintaining accurate vendor files.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing at XGS?

• Keeps complete and systematic account records.
• Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system.
• Reconciling billing / payment discrepancies with customers.
• Maintain spreadsheets to ensure all invoices are being paid on time and holding customers accountable to any past due bill.
• Analyzes accounts and prepares summaries, reports, charts and/or graphs as requested.
• Applied cash to customer accounts in the AR system.
• Maintains documentation for compliance to policies and procedures for internal audits.
• Under direction, investigate outstanding invoices, and make collection calls
• Ability to work on XGS site while performing essential functions
• Complete weekly filing of payments in a timely manner
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

We are looking for ideal candidates with..

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in data entry, bookkeeping procedures. Accounts Payable experience preferred
• Strong skills in10-key data entry.
• Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Experience using McLeod or Microsoft Great Plains (preferred)
• Be able to work in a high-volume environment in an organized manner.
