We are seeking a talented System Technician to work with the Assembly team to support our field staff.
You will be responsible for repairing computer based electronic terminals and peripheral equipment. You will occasionally trouble shoot over the phone to assist field locations in resolving problems. Travel 2-3 times a year may be required to resolve field equipment issues.

Union Dues: $39.02 bi-weekly
Probationary Pd: 6 Months
Hourly: $17.51 per hour – eff. 4/15/2021
Union Increases: 1 st Year $19.47 and 2nd Year $20.42
Benefits: 90 Day Waiting Period after you become a Permanent Employee
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:45am to 3:15pm
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Install both computer hardware and computer software on equipment and electronics Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP, and Windows 7.
- Troubleshoot and repair of electronic equipment including but not limited to:
- Complete terminals, various Point of Sales terminals with ticket printers and readers,
- TNIs (Terminal Network Interfaces) both Serial and IP communication types,
- Desktop computers and associated peripherals
- Power supplies, including UPS type
- Touchscreens, monitors, various types of displays
- Various types of PC boards, keyboards, wireless equipment (handheld PDUs, printers, access points),
- Uses hand tools to perform everyday job
- Solders circuit boards and components.
- Reads and follow wiring and electronic schematics.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Technical School or Associates degree in a computer or electronics’ related field.
- 1 year “in-field, hands-on” repair experience preferred
- On the job training will be provided due to the uniqueness of the products.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Solid knowledge and experience of working with computers, printers, hardware, and electronic devices.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and their components.
- Computer skills including DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP, and Windows 7 are preferred.
- Demonstrates the ability to install both computer hardware and computer software.
- Experience using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and analyze schematics.
- Experience soldering equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Some lifting and carrying. You must be physically able to lift approx. 40-50lbs.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible, and reliable with ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, take direction, work, and communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with supervisor and co-workers.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously

- This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
