About the Position:
We are looking for a self-motivated Internship Coordinator with a talent for organization to build and manage an exciting new internship program here at XY Planning Network! This program is designed to hire college students on an on-going basis for paid part-time jobs while they are still in school. These students will have the opportunity to work in various departments, supporting the work that our team is doing and learning tangible skills to help with their future career. As the Internship Coordinator, you will work closely with interns to help them be successful and help us build a long-term hiring pipeline.
While we are also evaluating semester long internships, the primary purpose of this program is to hire part-time students year round, providing them with a job while in school and career opportunities. This program may also be expanded to provide re-internship opportunities to engage those returning to the workforce after a prolonged absence.
In addition to the Internship Program, you will help throughout our People Department with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members, HR related activities, our “Fungineer” team, and our Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity programs. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on your unique work experience and passions!

What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with Team Leads to determine areas in the organization that an intern could contribute
- Work with Montana State University, and programs with Financial Planning and/or Accounting programs, to establish a hiring pipeline for current and future years
- Interview and hire interns for various roles
- Onboard and train new interns on the company
- Coordinate training by Team Leads for dedicated internship resources
- Manage the workload of “shared interns” that are working with multiple departments
- Provide career guidance and training to all interns
- Teach professional standards to interns to help them transition into a professional work environment
- Meet regularly with Team Leads and Interns to ensure expectations are being met for both parties
- Look for ways to improve the experience interns have while at XYPN, and the value received by XYPN from the internship program
- Build systems to manage workload and tasks of interns

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $68,821 / year
- Unlimited vacation days to maintain work-life harmony (we require that you take a minimum of 3 weeks of vacation per year)

- Undergraduate Degree or related equivalent experience
- Experience managing people and/or projects effectively
