The Role: In the role of Business/Systems Analyst, this person will be a dynamic and experienced individual with a proven track record of collaborating with business partners, understanding business requirements, translating business requirements into system requirements, and making recommendations regarding system functionality. This individual will work closely with development teams, partners, technology leads and business units to ensure successful delivery of program landmarks and alignment of the work to the ERP/Manufacturing product roadmaps.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Business and IT knowledge resource facilitating the delivery of capabilities and functionality to strategize solutions that support long term Business and IT objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, vendors, software engineers, architects on technical design throughout the product engineering lifecycle.
- Facilitate meetings with vendors, business stakeholders and/or product management team to drive requirements gathering, service-oriented analysis, modelling, and design activities.
- Analyze business needs and drive functional and non-functional system requirements including requirements documents, use cases, data flow diagrams, system diagrams, technical specification documentations.
- Develop use cases and user stories to support end user and application behavior flows across multiple end user channels.
- Develop strategies to improve service development life cycle and governance processes.
- Collaborate with business users to ensure test plan aligns with solution design and provide support throughout the testing lifecycle to analyze issues, determine root cause, proactively research and apply knowledge to resolve any issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or CS preferred, or relevant concentration, with 2-3 years of experience; or a Graduate Degree (Masters) in MIS or CS preferred, or relevant concentration, with 1-2 years of experience; or relevant and equivalent business or IT experience of minimum of 3-4 years.
- 5 years of experience working in supply chain/manufacturing operations with a focus on developing requirements for projects and helping technical teams implement features within ERP/Manufacturing Operations platforms preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Knowledge
- Knowledge of Infor CISM, ERP/LX, or BPCS a plus
- Experience using MES systems and connecting them to ERP systems.
- Experience with SQL Server or other Relational database tools.
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with ServiceNow and/or Jira
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding collaborator and consensus builder
- Solid understanding of software lifecycle
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to seek problems and make recommendations.
- Perform analysis, definition and development of detailed source-to-target data mappings and data transformation rules in support of various models such as REST/FHIR based service models, EDI, and SOAP and message schemas.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,000 to $135,000 plus bonus. At Xylem, it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the role however compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. We offer a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
