The Role: The Expeditor is responsible for expediting orders, providing internal/external customer support, and performing key administrative duties with the goal of improving customer satisfaction, increasing on-time deliveries, and achieving corporate financial targets which ultimately drive growth and profitability within Xylem.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with all internal functions (purchasing, production, & logistics) for complete order fulfillment.
- Coordinates the priority schedule to include running the reports and providing the weekly updates
- Handles individual customer requests identified by customer service
- Advises customer service of any product delays as denoted by planning
- Attends all q-dip morning meetings and utilizes the information to communicate updates/changes
- Partners with shipping on customer returns; critical shipments
- Works directly with sales on critical order updates
- Updates Sales Force when a quality issue is identified
- Manages the backlog report to identify past due orders that are left unattended
- Meets with the planners individually to gather updates on production schedules; shortages; impacts to deliveries
- Meets with the buyers individually to gather updates on deliveries of critical components and identifies the impact to customer commitments
- Schedules calls with the customer service team to provide critical updates
- Attends update meetings with sales
- Participates in Watermark activities
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in Customer Service
- Possess a good understanding of production processes
