Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Assist the business unit in the pre-sales activities to include client meetings, site surveys, vendor discussions and quote preparation
• Have a full understanding of the requirements, customer documentation including annotating and providing feedback on customer URS, and technical solutions
• Liaise with the Sales team to ensure that all information to accurately assess the requirements to prepare and cost a complete quotation is in place
• To develop accurate quotations, or budgetary quotations, for issue to customers. These need to be delivered in line with customer expectations
• Present technical expertise in commercial and sales operations to select, implement and develop competitive product applications as well as solutions
• Assist with procurement of hardware, software, and services if necessary
• Identify scope creep or when changes/new requirements are being introduced and communicate same to management and prepare and send customer quotes to support additional customer requirements
• Respond to different technical questions pertinent to system design and development as it pertains to sales scope
• Develop and present conceptual models for Pre-Sales initiatives through individual contributions or coordination with Design Team
• The role requires contact with Customers, including attendance to site meetings and survey packaging lines to assist in providing a technical solution
• The applicant will be determined and methodical in pursuit of the agreed objectives. The ability to prioritize and to meet agreed time frame dates with our customers and to manage time efficiently will be critical to success in this role.
• To be successful in this role, the candidate will follow agreed procedures, management systems such as CRM/ Sharepoint and SOPs as required
• Take full ownership for updating CRM with job opportunities, including upload of documentation when required
• Take full ownership for updating Project BOM’s, including upload of documentation when required
• During quiet periods support PMs with projects
• Required to travel on customer sites
• Other duties as required
Requirements:
• Relevant third level qualification such as a diploma/degree in an Engineering discipline. Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Experience in supporting a sales team at a pre-sales level in industrial engineering projects
• Excellent computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Project
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and structured standards and practices for regulated Industry including FDA and GAMP
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work with multiple disciplines including in-house Engineering, Operations, Quality and Product Development and Sales departments as well as partners, contractors, suppliers, and customers
• An understanding of manufacturing processes, with experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical devices industries an advantage
• An understanding of Machine Vision, and Automation systems for manufacturing is advantageous.
• Proven record of delivering against set goals
• Self-motivated and resourceful
• Some commercial experience an advantage
