JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in coordinating activities of the welding department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Assist in monitoring production schedules and problem solving to meet required deadlines
2) Assist in establishing priorities for the department.
3) Preview production and operating reports and resolve operational manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays as needed.
4) Develop Group Leaders in all areas such as team member relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, equipment problems, etc.
5) Ensure safety and quality programs and training are maintained
6) Provide assistance to team members and Group Leaders in solving work-related problems
7) Develop and revise standard operational and working practices and observe team members to ensure compliance
8) Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish Company Goals & Objectives.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience
a) College degree or equivalent, or (3) years related supervisor experience.
b) High school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
c) 24 months of experience in Group Leader or Specialist position preferred
d) Management Experience with or without Welding experience is desired.
