Responsible for coordinating the administration of ADA for all of YNHHS. Has general knowledge of ADA to provide guidance to employees on ADA paperwork completion.

Working closely with the Sr. HRConnect Specialist and ADA Coordinator, maintains tracking of ADA requests and follows up with HR Business Partner and Occ Health as needed to ensure timely decisions are made.

Sends out all communications to employees to ensure timely notification of ADA requests.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Works directly with the employee to provide guidance on successful completion of ADA forms.
  • 2. Once ADA form is reviewed for completion, sends request to HR Business Partner and Manager for accommodation approval / denial.

Tracks each case to ensure timely decisions are made. Works closely with the Sr HRConnect Specialist and ADA Coordinator when items are late so follow-up can be made.

  • 3. Assists with creation of communications to employees as they pertain to ADA deadlines.
  • 4. Serving as subject matter expert, assists SR HRConnect Specialist and ADA Coordinator with managing to completion assigned HRConnect ADA cases, or queries in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

Escalates to HR Business Partners as appropriate.

  • 5. Assists ADA team by working with the Sr HRConnect Specialist on the Leave team with FML issues related to ADA cases.
  • 6. Supports Sr HRConnect Specialist and ADA Coordinator during high volume of ADA activity and serves as liaison with the HR Business Partners, managers, and Talent Acquisition if it's determined we cannot accommodate an individual or it's determined their disability prevents them from performing the essential functions of their job.

This would apply to new applicants as well as active employees.

7. Actively seeks for ways to improve the ADA process by creating workflows and working with other areas of HR.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years in HR, preferably with ADA or LOA experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent active listening, oral and written communication skills. Strong desire to deliver excellent customer service in a timely and efficient manner.

Ability to effectively use a wide variety of technologies and systems. Ability to multi-task across different computer systems
