The Pharmacy Systems Analyst I functions as the primary support of clinical systems and end users which includes: performing needs assessment, data collection, analysis and project coordination. They work under the direction of the Application Team Lead to configure, build, test & install the application. They coordinate all issues that arise during the project for their application area. Primary responsibilities include analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operations. In depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. A key activity is to analyze new releases to determine how new features impact/benefit current workflows and what configuration modifications are appropriate. The Pharmacy System Analyst I is also responsible for the identification of needed changes to test scripts and the thorough testing of the changes; including regression testing as a result of the newly released code. They function as the primary contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live and post go-live periods. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates are proactive with helping other users learn and adopt usage of the application.

EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy with a BS, MS or Pharm. D. degree required. Completion of a residency in a hospital pharmacy from a program accredited by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacist is desired but not required.
EXPERIENCE
1 to 2 years Hospital or Retail based pharmacy experience. Informatics residency or commensurate experience required. Operations improvement skills and experience with automated dispensing technology preferred.
LICENSURE
Required to attend out of state training. Epic certification in relevant applications required within 3 months of hire . Appropriate certification in other application software as required
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Work will be performed in a designated department location as well as in remote locations; i.e. office within the analysts home.
