Prepare boat for production by performing all hand lay-up/roll out process of fiberglass lamination in or on decks, hulls, or small parts.
JOB DUTIES:
- Performs all hand lay-up/roll out process of fiberglass lamination in and on decks, hulls, or small parts of required parts with use of wood, cardboard, or core mat, or other reinforcement using paint brush and paint roller
- Performs detailed lamination tie-in of small parts, decks, live wells, liners, seat boxes, or bases, compartments, or other required accessories or wood, wood bracing, or fillers, transoms, stringers, floors, or foam boxes
- Capable of completing work in 1-2 areas with the Lamination department.
- Rolls out air per established procedure in each operation from either hand or gun applied fiberglass and resin material
- Maintain clean work area
- Inform supervisor of needed supplies or materials
- Any other duties assigned
- Ability to perform walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling for 8 hours a day
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
- Ability to work in heat
- Ability to work around dust, chemical, fumes and fiberglass particles
- Manual dexterity
- Use of hand tools such as paint brushes and paint rollers
- Good coordination
