Cost Accountant

Summary:

Yanfeng in Riverside, Missouri is looking for a Cost Accountant to join the Finance Team.  This position will provide support and assistance to our manufacturing site in the following areas: monitoring the financial impact of production transactions, assist in development and implementation of standard costs, and analyzing and reconciling the general ledger to perpetual inventory balances.

Supervisory Capacity: No Supervisory Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop costed BOM’s, and Labor & Overhead rates.
• Maintain inputs into QAD or the local ERP environment as required. 
• Monitor inventory adjustments relating to the cost accounting activity.
• Perform inventory valuations as required.
• Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs
• Develop cost allocation methodologies
• Support inventory accounting
• Support in developing and monitoring inventory accounting work instructions for materials and supply
• Support in accounting for all inventory movements
• Support in reconciling after physical inventory
• Support in valuing in inventory
• Support in analyzing and reporting stock / inventory losses
• Support in accounting for appropriate taxes and exercise rates
• Support in calculating appropriate accruals
• Support in analyzing and reporting stock / inventory losses

Required Education: 

Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Business Administration, Finance / Controlling (Accounting, Finance, Controlling, etc.) or similar.

*Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

• Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience with Purchasing. 
• Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry, preferably. 
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at manufacturing sites. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated capability for working with Financial Systems (ERPs, MS Office, especially Excel). · 
• Able to work in a rigorous and fast-paced environment. · 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Internally motivated.
