Yanfeng Global Automotive Interiors, Louisville facility located at 7111 Tradeport Drive, Louisville, KY 40258 is hiring Assembly Operator to be a part of their growing assembly team. Yanfeng in Louisville is a tier 1 automotive supplier assembling instrument panels, door panels and consoles.
The Factory Laborer participates in the manufacture and assembly of automotive interior components for YFAI customers according to company standards and best practices.
As Factory Laborer , you will be assembling and manufacturing automotive interior components, such as door panels, cockpit electronics to the required customer specification while maintaining the safety of all working personnel in surrounding areas.
We are currently hiring for the following shifts:
2nd Shift 2.00PM - 10.30PM
3rd Shift 10.00PM - 6.30AM
Pay Rate: 17.10/h (additionally 0.25 premium on 2nd & 3rd shift)
Essential Job Functions:
- Process and assemble components to customer approved standards
- Follow written procedures (ODS), monitor quality and communicate production and quality issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor
- Ensure health, safety and 5S policies and standards are followed. Report any unsafe conditions to Supervisor immediately.
- Inspect components and parts and report any quality issues to Team Leader or Supervisor
- Move or transfer components and parts to work stations from racks, boxes, carousals, etc
- Join parts using screws, rivets, clips, welders, etc
- Secure fasteners with manual, hydraulic, and electric tools
- Apply adhesive appliques, gaskets, etc
- Trim components and parts using a utility knife or other type of trimming device per ODS
- Assembly equipment – loading, unloading and properly using Poke Yoke equipment
- Apply labels correctly to components and packaged parts
- Inspection of components, defect recognition, and material recognition and contain as necessary
- Select the packaging of the goods and ensure the goods are packaged professionally.
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to use hand tools such as an electric drill
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Work overtime when needed
Extra Information:
- Employees who are hired and meet their 90 day (3 month) probationary period will receive a $500.00 retention bonus.
- Employees who are hired and meet their 180 anniversary (6 month) will receive another $500.00 retention bonus.
- Employees referring an employee will be given a $500.00 referral bonus once the referred employee successfully completes their 90 day (3 month) probationary period.
- Employees referring an employee will be given another $500.00 referral bonus once the referred employee successfully completes their 180 day (6 month) anniversary.
PLEASE NOTE: THE EMPLOYEE MUST NOTIFY HR OF THE REFERRAL PRIOR TO THE EMPLOYEE BEING HIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE REFERRAL BONUSES.
