Our client, a well established and growing 3rd party medical billing firm is looking to hire an Office Assistant to support one of their clients in Chester County, PA. This position will be staffed on a temp to hire basis and will pay 18.00-20.00 per hour. This position requires the employee to be onsite. Hours are 7:30am-4:00pm Monday thru Friday. Duties and Responsibilities Distributing documents, faxes and correspondence Photocopying, scanning and or uploading documents into various document and/or EMR systems Receiving, sorting and distributing mail Processing, researching and correcting “Bad Mail” in client system(s) Completing Medical and Billing Record Requests Following Charity Care Approval Procedures Following Death Certificate and Bankruptcy procedures Maintaining filing systems Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to work on-site is required Knowledge of healthcare administration a plus Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Proficient in use of email and internet Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Knowledge of administrative procedures Please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
