What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server Assistant position at YaYa’s Euro Bistro?

The morning SA arrives at 9:00 AM. The evening SA arrives at 3:00 PM.

The morning SA is on the clock no later than 4:00 PM. The evening SA works until close with the goal of “closing to open,” meaning the morning SA’s opening duties are solely completing Server opening duties.

The morning SA completes all PM Server opening duties. The evening SA finishes any rolled and tray service silverware, places, polishes and places wine glasses on tables.

All SA’s get minimum wage PLUS tips.

All Servers are responsible for setting up any of their unoccupied tables prior to check out.

All Servers are responsible for checking tables for proper setup immediately after line-up.

Bartenders polish wine glasses (Servers must check glasses)


MORNING SA OPENING JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Makes coffee
  • Refresh coffee every two hours
  • Make iced tea
  • Replenish Iced tea when needed
  • Cuts lemons
  • Stock expo line
  • Stock service station: soup spoons, towels, etc
  • Fill Service ice bin and throughout shift
  • Set up Quat bucket for service station and expo with two towels (replace every two hours)
  • Bus and reset tables
  • Polish water glasses
  • Set up bread station
  • Set up babagaanoush and bread station
  • Fill bread trays
  • Check dessert trays for appearance
  • Stock service mini cooler
  • Set out the parmesan cheese
  • Place soda nozzles on the machine and turn on
  • Set up soda machine
  • Turn on soda machine and put on nozzles
  • Replace soda boxes when needed
  • Fill coffee machine with beans
  • Fill soup warmers and turn on.
  • Stock spices and sauces, e.g. A!, Cholula, etc.


MORNING SA CLOSING JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Roll, clean and polish tray silverware until 3:00 PM.
  • Stock all TO
  • -GO items
  • Fold water bottle and hand linens
  • Stock kid cups and all straws
  • Stock Bev napkins
  • Empty all service station trash
  • Empty server station and server bar trash
  • Take dirty linen to bin
  • Replace linen stand bags
  • Fill Quart bottles
  • Consolidate glasses and cups
  • Remove sugar caddies from tables
  • Fill water bottles and clean area
  • Back out china
  • Thoroughly clean all surface areas and handles in the service area
  • Stock spices and sauces, e.g. A1, Cholula, etc.
  • Fill coffee beans
  • Brew tea if needed
  • Re
  • -ice babaganoush and refill
  • Refill herb oil
  • Replace plastic wrap if needed
  • Clean and stuff check presenters with comment cards, email forms
  • Restock appetizer and bread plates at Station 19
  • Restock marking trays at both stations
  • Clean under and organize under both POS stations
  • Organize front closets
  • Replace toilet paper and hand towels
  • Refill soap at hand sink
  • Windex mirror
  • Wipe counters, sinks and fixtures
  • Empty restroom trash
  • Empty and change out feminine napkin liners
  • Remove used towels
  • Throw away spindled tickets at Expo and salad stations
  • Change out tablecloth at the salad station
  • Re-water/ice garnishes
  • Re
  • -ice lemons and pickles
  • Refill water in soup wells
  • Restock and organize the entire Expo line
  • Sweep the line
