BOOKKEEPER/HR PROFESSIONAL

OVERVIEW We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper/HR Professional. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records while also overseeing human resources functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multitask in a dynamic environment.

Bookkeeping

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, bill payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Human Resources

  • Maintain employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and attendance records.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.

General Administration

  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and human resources roles.
  • Proficiency in software including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with small business operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
