Summary
Yelp’s Accounting team is seeking a 5-star, hands-on Collector to provide phone and administrative support for the Collections team. This high visibility position will provide Local Revenue credit card collection support. This candidate should be able to demonstrate effective communications skills when corresponding with clients while meeting department goals and deadlines. The Collector will be a key member of the Collections team, interfacing daily with external clients along with internal departments.

What you'll do:
- You will make initial contact with canceled local advertising accounts who have an outstanding balance
- You will make outbound collection calls and send follow up emails to reduce AR balance
- You will answer inbound calls to the Collections queue phone line, while maintaining an appropriate queue answer rate
- You will update and process credit card payments
- You will work with clients to set up payment arrangements
- You will document collection efforts in CRM systems
- You will work within a specified delinquency case queue
- You will resolve internal/external inquiries and issues through team case queue in a timely manner
- You will work closely with the Customer Success Teams, Sales Operations, and Accounting team
- You will maintain workload pace and meet daily/weekly/monthly collection goals
- You will provide updates and feedback to manager
What it takes to succeed:
- You have 1 years of experience in high call volume environment (minimum of 60 calls per day) (Required)
- Experience using Salesforce (Prefered)
- You are bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
- AA degree or Accounting coursework (Preferred)
- You have prior collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience (Preferred)
- Competency in using MS Excel and Word
- You are reliable and able to thrive in a demanding work environment
- You have the ability to de-escalate calls and provide excellent customer service
- You have the ability to quickly learn collection skills and techniques
- You have the ability to adapt to changes/duties in the work environment
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You have high confidence dealing with people at all organizational levels within Yelp

- Compensation range for this position is $40,000- $61,000 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
