What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Yescom USA, Inc.?
We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of all products we ship to our customers.
You will work with our warehouse team to ensure items are labeled and packed correctly for shipping.
Responsibilities, Requirements, and Skills
- Obtain and process product orders
- Packing: Package order with multiple items according to UPS or other shipping carrier’s rules to avoid unnecessary surcharges, damages or lost in transit.
- Choose proper outer box
- Tape nice, neat, and securely
- Labeling: Scan item barcode and put the label on the correct package to ensure the right item is shipped.
- Stacking: Stack the pallets by the following the procedure method and height requirement to avoid damage in transit.
- Timing: Keep consistent speed and pace with shipping workflow and meeting all scheduled pick-up deadlines.
- Space Arrangement: Direct pallet drop off by pickers, work by prioritizing the pallets to enhance workflow and keep the area clean and always organized.
- Know how to direct the drivers to keep the shipping area organized o Know which pallet to work on first to make the space in the shipping area
- Package Handling: Handle the box properly without throwing to avoid damaged items.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: always keep warehouse clean, maintain equipment and packing materials.
- Cooperation: Cooperate with other departments and departments leads to ensure shipping and other warehouse related operations run smoothly. Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proven work experience as a Shipping Clerk or similar role
- Ability to lift items and containers
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
