About The Role:
YipitData is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team.
This is a unique opportunity to work at a high-growth FinTech company with entrepreneurial yet supportive colleagues.
In this role, you will utilize your exceptional accounting knowledge, ambition, and high attention to detail to scale financial processes and take ownership over several monthly tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit anywhere in the US.
As our Accounting Manager, you will :
- Manage our monthly financial-close procedures, including reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing closing schedules, and booking adjusting entries across multiple entities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external parties
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor our bank accounts
- Computer and file state and local taxes, sales and use tax, commercial rent tax, annual filings, and work with an external tax accountants for timely preparation and submission of Federal and State income tax requirements
- Review payroll, commissions, and bonuses, and book appropriate journal entries
- Review vendor contracts, process vendor payments, assist with our yearly financial audit, and other ad hoc projects

You are likely to succeed if you have:
- At least 3-5 years experience as a senior staff accountant or similar role in a fast-paced environment (CPA is a big plus!)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Netsuite or other cloud-based accounting software
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP required
