General Responsibilities
- Coaching pickle ball based on program standards.
- Run at least three clinics a session for all skills and leagues.
- Assist with tournaments and events.
- Ensuring a safe environment, enforcing all rules, maintaining the safety of participants in class.
- Modeling and teaching YMCA character values.
Minimal Qualifications
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 30 days of hire.
- Physical ability to assist players on and off the courts.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distances, and in writing to parents, participants, and staff.
- Ability to think in the abstract, solve problems, make decisions, instruct, evaluate, and remember.
- Ability to respond, remain calm, and direct others in an emergency.
Specific Responsibilities
- Serve as an ambassador of the YMCA and demonstrate the YMCA character values: Honesty, Respect, Caring, and Responsibility.
- Communicate with participants to create personalized class schedules.
- Maintain accurate payment and attendance records for all students.
- Always ensure the safety of all class participants.
- Provide participants with detailed feedback on progress.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings.
- Maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Complete your timecard accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and department policies.
- Be flexible and willing to adjust to change.
- Build relationships with staff, members, and participants.
Job Type: Part-time
