Overview
Under the general guidance of the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator II is responsible and accountable for assisting with the administration and supervision of the Welcome Center and KidsZone at the Cleaver Family YMCA.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall YMCA mission of healthy living, youth development and social responsibility.
- Assists in planning, managing, and implementing of all assigned departmental programs and activities.
- Assists in interviewing, scheduling, and supervising qualified associates.
- Maintain records of program participants.
- Assists in associate meetings.
- Must notify appropriate associates of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately.
- Maintain knowledge of risk management policies and procedures, including Emergency Action Plans.
- Will act as Director on Duty when scheduled.
- Assists and participates in marketing and special events.
- Fill out all YMCA accident and incident reports completely and turn into the Executive Director.
- Provide input for operational guidelines to enhance YMCA operations
- Must handle complaints in a friendly and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years experience in assigned program area.
- Minimum of one year supervision preferred.
- First Aid / CPR/AED (Adult, Child, Infant) and Administering Oxygen prior to start date.
- Must have good communication skills including phone skills.
- Ability to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Highly organized, detail, and goal oriented.
- Must be able to deal with a diverse group of people in a friendly and consistent manner.
