What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Watch Attendant All Shifts Johnstown YMCA position at YMCA of Northern Colorado?
The Johnstown YMCA is looking for Child Watch Attendants. But first, what is Child Watch? It's a program located in our YMCAs that provides members with childcare while they work out, take classes, or swim. The children play inside and outside, do craft projects, enjoy games and sports, and more. Child Watch is available to children ages 6 weeks to 10 years of age.

Position is year-round, part time offering between 10-25 hours per week. Our YMCA Child Watch will be open:
- Monday through Friday Afternoon 4 pm-8 pm
- Saturdays 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Sundays 8:30 am-12:30 pm
We ask all staff to work at least one weekend shift per month, but you do not need to be available for all open times to apply.
Salary starts at $13.65/hour. We offer a 10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English).
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to being a positive role model for youth.
- Experience working with children and an understanding of childhood development is preferred
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to occasionally serve as a substitute if needed.
- Current ARC/YMCA First Aid, CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired. We can provide this training.
All Employees receive a free individual membership and anyone working 10 hours receives a free family membership, 50-100% off our programs and if eligible, we contribute the equivalent of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund.
Full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 3 weeks of paid vacation, 88 hours of paid sick time, and 8 paid holidays per year. Part-Time employees also receive paid sick time at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
