To excel as a Seasonal Camp Assistant at YMCA of Reading & Berks County, certain skills and qualifications are necessary.

In order to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our campers, you must be able to obtain criminal child abuse FBI and National Sex Offender Registry clearances.

This ensures that we maintain a secure and nurturing environment for all children in our care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building positive relationships with both children and parents.

Additionally, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to think on your feet will enable you to handle the challenges and unexpected situations that may arise during camp activities.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• Minimum of high school diploma
• Ability to document 2500 hours in working with children
• Ability to obtain criminal child abuse FBI and National Sex Offender Registry clearances
