The YMCA is currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic and passionate candidates for the Family Engagement Attendant position!
Under the direction of the Youth & Family Coordinator, the Youth & Family Program Leader facilitates YMCA of Southern Nevada programs and events related to the department.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitates age-appropriate activities, which include but are not limited to homework help, group games, crafts, and teen programming.
- Promotes the Y’s Focus Areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
- Implements Y Character Development in all curricula.
- Adheres to YMCA Standard Operating Procedures and Child Abuse Prevention Policies.
- Ensures safety as the overriding objective in all programming efforts.
- Builds and maintains a high standard of customer service and serves as a positive role model for members, participants, and staff. Contributes to a positive and safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or at least one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- American Red Cross/American Heart Association CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
- YMCA Working with Children Certification within 30 days of hire.
