YMCA of the North Shore offers an internship within the Human Resources Department focusing on Recruitment and Talent Acquisition. This is an exciting opportunity for current college students to gain hands-on experience and exposure to several important aspects of human resources and help play an important role in our  Y's commitment to community.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

Working closely with the Recruitment Coordinator, the intern will provide assistance with the recruitment process and work on special projects to help achieve staffing needs.

Key Functions & Objectives:

• Learn how to utilize applicant tracking system (ATS). Update and maintain ATS and job postings.

• Conduct phone screens and recommend candidates to hiring managers.

• Schedule and coordinate interviews.

• Provide creative insight on ways to source candidates.

• Develop an understanding of staffing needs, position requirements, and the ability to identify qualified candidates.

• Attend job fairs & networking events.

• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process of an assigned full time position.

• Make reference check calls.

• Provide additional administrative support as needed.

The details...

• A minimum of 14-16 weeks, one semester or based on school curriculum criteria and availability

• 15 hours per week, schedule to be determined with Internship Supervisor, remote schedule possible

• Working primarily out of the Cummings Center - YMCA Association Headquarters in Beverly, MA

• A Free YMCA membership for the duration of the internship and discounts on YNS programs and activities.

• This internship is unpaid

Qualifications

Candidates must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student. Grad school and high school applicants will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Must be a current student enrolled at an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related subject.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from our Beverly office.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage time appropriately.
