What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Facilities Director position at YMCA?
The Assistant Facilities Director helps to ensure a safe and secure property by providing all aspects of the overall cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of our new Demakes Family YMCA in Lynn, MA. Day to day, you will maintain the building complex through basic repairs, (plumbing, carpentry) preventative maintenance, and facilities cleanliness and sanitization. You will also be responsible for maintaining the grounds of the facility including snow removal and sidewalk care as well as lawn care and landscaping. This role requires flexibility and the ability to respond in the event of an emergency, hours may vary, but will typically follow a non-traditional Saturday – Wednesday schedule.
To thrive in this position, you should have previous experience in manual trades and demonstrable knowledge of building equipment related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair. You are able to prioritize daily tasks while working both independently and as a facilities team. You have strong time management skills, build positive and authentic relationships through daily interactions with co-workers, members and the community.

Must be 18 years or older with high school diploma or equivalent
Must have valid MA driver’s license and/ or reliable transportation
Strong skills in carpentry, painting, electrical or plumbing!
Experience in manual trades and demonstrable knowledge of building equipment related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair.
Work collaboratively with program directors and senior leadership!

Salary : $53,000 - $65,000
