The Director of Sales will lead the Association’s sales activities across the entire portfolio and throughout the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s designated territories. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the association and lead enterprise-wide growth initiatives, sales opportunities, up-selling and cross-selling, and distribution of marketing initiatives throughout the communities where the Y operates.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000

Scopes and Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, implement, and measure comprehensive sales strategies and new business initiatives that increase revenues, generate demand, influence value, and drives a dynamic sales culture
- Oversee the YMCA of Metro Chicago’s sales growth by evaluating sales reports and capitalizing on products or services
- Forecast sales, set performance goals, review strategies to increase revenue, and set operating budgets
- Serve as primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders for sales campaigns, and serve as a subject matter expert to translate strategic business objectives into technical orchestration
- Collaborate with program leaders and marketing colleagues to develop customer-responsive and market-relevant materials and assets to support customer engagement
- Partner across departments to amplify the effectiveness of sales, data integrity management, and new technology integrations
- Prepare reports for discussion and analysis of key sales and business performance indicators and partner with leadership to identify advanced reporting needs, and analyze performance trends, CX insights, and best practices to provide optimization recommendations
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their personal objectives and needs.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, coach, and manage a team focused on growth, sales, and distribution initiatives
- Understand sales best practices and stay ahead of global industry trends
Minimum and Required Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sales management, business administration, operations, or preferred equivalent
- Minimum of 6-8 years of related work experience
- Proficiency of the technology ecosystem (specifically customer data, CRM, customer engagement, and loyalty platforms) preferred
- Comfortable working with data analysts and providing actionable insights and recommendations
- Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Sound leadership ability, including motivating, coaching, and performance management
- Strong cross functional team player who is comfortable talking to topics related to marketing (both traditional and digital) data, strategy, CRM, customer care, and operations.
- Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives

Child Abuse Prevention
Support the YMCA’s commitment to child abuse prevention by:
- Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
- Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
- Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
- Completing all child abuse prevention training, as required
