What are the responsibilities and job description for the LCC Executive Director position at YMCA?
Oversee Licensed Childcare Operations, budgeting, marketing, afterschool programs, staff development, financial development, community relations, and collaborations with school districts and community agencies. The successful candidate will train with our Executive Leadership Team and eventually manage school operations in a designated area.
The Executive Director will represent and promote the YMCA as a leader in our community and must be able to maintain positive, collaborative relationships with staff, local organizations, businesses and government entities.
· Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, or business or equivalent education and experience. Additional years of related experience may replace the college degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
· Five or more years of management and operations experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
· Proven ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
· Experience in fund-raising, including: annual and capital campaigns, grant writing, planned giving, and the development of other creative revenue streams.
· Hands-on experience and willingness to work hands-on when and where needed.
· Experience in developing new programs and in reviewing and enhancing existing programs.
· Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; proven ability to recruit top community leaders.
· Proven ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
· Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
· Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
· YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
· CPR and first aid certifications may be required.
