The Regional Director will oversee multiple preschool programs. Planning, administration, program quality/growth and staffing are top priorities.
Candidates should have a passion for youth development, the Y mission and e xperience building relationships with diverse community stakeholders. At least three years' experience managing a Preschool program and staff is required. A bachelor's degree in related field is strongly preferred. Credentials must satisfy VA licensing requirements for site supervision. Excellent relationship-building skills and oral and written communication skills are required, as well as computer and administrative proficiency. English/Spanish bilingual oral communication skills are preferred.
Responsibilities include: Maintaining center quality, including instruction, curriculum, equipment and supplies. Supervising Center Directors, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, providing feedback/coaching, leading meetings, and ensuring that required certifications are maintained. The Regional Director will ensure all childcare licensing standards are met for center/staff/and/or children. Will o versee program planning and administration for early childhood programs and services, ensuring program quality and fidelity. Will visit sites regularly to assess quality, record, and report on progress. Focus will be given to developing and fostering relationships with facilities providing space for YMCA preschool programs. Regional Director will be responsible for developing and managing budget, including timely and accurate forecasting and analysis.
