Job Title: CNC Supervisor

Department: CNC Machining (Mill / Lathe)

Reports To: Manufacturing & Quality Manager

Job Summary:

This position leads a team of CNC Operators, setup of CNC and department equipment, creates efficient programs to produce parts to print. Trains Operators to safely operate all equipment within the department. Making sure that the departmental area stays well organized, and waste and scrap material is handled appropriately. Reviewing and evaluating job estimates for accurate scheduling and reporting.

During the production process, provide accurate and detailed information on runtime / material usage, etc to the ERP System.

Core Roles:

• Leadership/Management/Accountability
• Set Up CNC Equipment safely and efficiently for Production run operation.

· Maintain equipment for proper operation/Maintain a safe workspace.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• LMA - Lead a team of machine operators to produce high quality parts efficiently.
• Quality - Perform quality inspections as specified for the production run. Report results as required.
• Departmental Maintenance – Clean and maintain the space as directed. Potential to learn maintenance on the departmental equipment. Maintain measuring equipment and ensure it is in good working order / calibration, etc.
• Safety - Train operators to safely operate all department equipment per provided on floor training, and safety meeting topics. Maitian a safe attitude and culture within the department.
• Program & Purchase - Set-up CNC and manual equipment, determine proper cutting tools needed. Maintain tool crib and place orders for tools when needed.

Required Skills:

• High degree of personal accountability, computer skills, and ability to read fabrication and technical documents.

Set up/ programming of CNC equipment, High standard of quality and effective leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

• 3 Years experience in machining / programming / job setups.
• 3D CAD Modeling Ability / Mastercam, two years’ experience in machine set up.
• Experience in ERP-centric Manufacturing | Material Issuing / WO Management

Physical Requirements: (If appropriate to include)

• Must be able to lift weight appropriate to assigned task (Mechanical lifts are available for heavier loads).
• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods (Up to three (3) hours).
• Must be able to bend at waist and/or knees to properly lift pan of parts.
• Must be able to push loads on carts up to 500 lbs.
• Must be able to perform simple addition, copying figures, counting, and recording.
• Must be able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Must be able to safely perform repetitive motions with fingers, wrists, hands, arms and Legs.

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $23 - $28 | D.O.E.

• 8-hour Shift | Monday thru Friday (Unless otherwise noted)

Work Location: In person – Generally indoor year-round, heated work area in winter.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
