Business Planning Manager

The YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP is seeking a talented Business Planning Manager to join our US team, reporting to the General Manager, US. Based in our offices in New York, this newly created role will work cross-functionally and cross-store (NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER, YOOX and THE OUTNET), to identify key performance and merchandising trends and opportunities, and devise strategies and tactics for profitably growing the top-line. You Will: Partner with store Commercial and Economics teams to: Forecast US topline and margin, by quarter, by store Ensure targets are achievable with adequate levels of marketing investment, customer growth and stock levels Ensure any localized actions protect and deliver regional retail margin targets Align customer cohort strategies and forecasts Partner with Buying & Merchandising, and Operations to: Optimize allocation to our New Jersey warehouse, considering sell-thrus, size profiles, export restrictions, vendor requirements, fully-landed costs and speed of shipment Prepare quarterly OTB feedback to inform regional buying opportunities Drive assortment mix and monitor performance across 1P and 3P products Monitor warehouse stock levels, and devise strategies to keep inventory current – including omni-stock fulfillment and replenishment shipping logic Partner with US Marketing teams to: Create localized promotional calendar and markdown activity proposals Evaluate and negotiate value-added local partnerships Build and manage a Site Merchandising team, ensuring product sequencing and marketed products reflect the best commercial opportunities (e.g. inventory depth, margin, sell-thrus) Provide recurrent reporting to the GM, encompassing key trade updates and business risks / opportunities Support the US GM with analysis and execution related to special projects, as required You Have: 4-year college degree or equivalent education is required; masters degree is preferred 5 years of merchandise planning, business and/or retail analytics experience 2 years of commercial planning experience High degree of fluency and competency in creating and forecasting ecommerce profit and loss statements, and the end-to-end global ecommerce supply chain Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills Experience and comfort working in a global and matrixed organizational environment Strong excel and spreadsheet skills YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP is an equal opportunities employer, we encourage people with a diverse range of backgrounds to apply.
