Accounts Receivable Specialist
needed for a full-time contract
opportunity with Yoh's medical client located in Pomona, CA.
This job is located onsite Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Working with all aspects of billing, appeals, denials, insurance eligibility, etc.
- Knowledge of professional billing
- HCFA-1500 Claim Form (will be doing ambulatory billing so need experience with billing on this)
- Familiar with all Payers Primary and Secondary, Medicare billing guidelines, bulletins and billing edits
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for timely and accurate billing of all secondary payers that do not automatically cross over after Medicare, billing Medi-Cal as primary as appropriate for non-covered Medicare services, etc.
- Responsible for credit balances, ADR's, appeals, CIFs, moving money to patient side as applicable, timely follow up of accounts as per department protocol
- Fully resolve denied claims for Medi-Cal, Managed Care (commercial) payors
- Provide support for AR clean up project
- Manually appealing denied claims and resubmitting cleaned claims
- Software: Sorian Financials
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Two years of billing and follow-up experience in a hospital setting
- Familiar with coding medical terminology
- CCI edits
- Diverse payor payment methodology
